About our food – all of our formulas are human grade cooked food and are protein focused with 30 – 40% protein. They can be fed exclusively or mixed with a quality kibble to add a variety of essential vitamins and minerals to your dog’s diet. We make our food in small batches to assure quality. What about cats? We are happy to produce any formula recommended by your vet or qualified practitioner.

A Note from Dr. Rachael Feigenbaum
As a veterinarian, a large number of health problems I see in dogs and cats such as obesity, diabetes, food allergies, and chronic gastointestinal disease, are directly related to sub-optimal diet. The best advice I can give to my clients in order to maintain optimal health, quality of life, and longevity, is to feed a quality diet using fresh ingredients that is formulated to meet all of the pet's specific nutritional needs. I tell my clients that the best thing they can feed is a homemade diet, but many of my clients have busy lifestyles, and aren't able to make their animal's food on a regular basis. The Healthy Hound recipes offer variety, but can also be customized for specific preferences or dietary needs.
